Island Insurance Foundation Donates $30,000 to the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii

The Island Insurance Foundation has donated $30,000 to the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii. A public interest, not-for-profit law firm, its mission is to achieve fairness and justice through legal advocacy, outreach and education for those in need.

Established in 1950, the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii has nine offices statewide and over 80 staff members (attorneys, paralegals, and administrative personnel) dedicated to achieving Legal Aid’s vision of “Building a Just Society.” The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii responds to inquiries from approximately 20,000 individuals each year, and an estimated annual total 9,500 of those individuals receive legal services ranging from advice and counsel to full representation.
