Nancy N. Grekin (S) has joined Grubb & Ellis/CBI, Inc., a full-service commercial and residential real estate firm based in Hawaii. A licensed attorney with more than 30 years of commercial property experience, Grekin delivers real estate services to retail clients as an independent real estate agent specializing in investments. She joins the firm as Senior Vice-President.

Grekin’s legal career included time spent at several Honolulu firms. Most recently, Grekin was a partner with McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon.

With her vast experience as a real estate attorney, Grekin is well positioned to provide clients with sound financial analysis of investment properties and expert assistance with leases. She has represented clients in numerous sectors of business, including in retail and restaurants where she represented Liberty House, Hilo Hattie and McInerny.

Nationally recognized as an expert in 1031 Exchange, Grekin is the author of “Like-Kind Exchanges Under Code Section 1031”. She has also been a contributing author to numerous real estate and legal manuals, journals, guides and newsletters, and a presenter at meetings and seminars in Hawaii and beyond.

Grekin earned a legal degree, magna cum laude, and business degree, with high distinction, from the University of Michigan. She was named Best Lawyers in America (real estate) between 2002 and 2012. She is a member of the American Bar Association where she currently serves as chair of the Practice Management Group and a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association where she serves on the Real Property and Financial Services Section of the board of directors.
