Island Insurance Gives $25,000 Donation to St. Louis School

The Island Insurance Foundation has donated $25,000 to Saint Louis School to assist in the funding of academic programs, student tuition assistance, athletics, student clubs and organizations, and building and grounds maintenance. Founded in 1846 as the College of Ahuimanu, Saint Louis School is the largest Catholic boys’ school in Hawaii. President Walter Kirimitsu and Principal Pat Hamamoto, accepted the donation from Tyler Tokioka, President of the Island Insurance Foundation at a presentation held recently on the Kaimuki campus.

Offering an academic curriculum for grades six through twelve, the mission of Saint Louis School is to educate and challenge students of various religious ethnic and economic backgrounds that they may achieve a quality education and become gentlemen of character, reaching their individual potential through the Catholic Marianist tradition of spiritual, academic and physical maturity. Saint Louis School is fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and Hawaii Association of Independent Schools (HAIS).
