In the spirit of giving back to the community during the holiday season, Hawaii Pacific Federal Credit Union collected 153 donations of toys, household items and gift cards from more than 100 of its members for the 2011 Lokahi Giving Project to help families in need. The number of gifts increased from 118 in 2010.

Hawaii Pacific Federal collected donations at its main branch in the Ala Moana Building, and Pearlridge and Ala Moana branches from November to December 16, 2011.  Gifts collected included clothes, toys, board games, cooking appliances, athletic equipment, laundry supplies, baby items, bedding, and bathroom amenities. Forty gift cards valued at $850 total were donated and can be used at Champs Sports, Claire’s, Foodland Supermarket, General Growth Properties (Ala Moana Center and Ward Centers), Jeans Wearhouse, Kmart, Longs Drugs, McDonald’s, Ross Dress for Less, Safeway, Sears, Target, Walmart and Zippy’s Restaurants.

Hawaii Pacific Federal has been participating in the Lokahi Giving Project every year since 2002.
