Hawaiian Building Maintenance Promotes Dawn Tamashiro

Dawn TamashiroHawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM), a premium facilities maintenance services company in Hawaii, has promoted Dawn Tamashiro to Director of Human Resources. Tamashiro worked her way up within the organization’s human resources department after joining the company in an entry level position nearly 14 years ago. HBM is a long-standing industry leader in Hawaii, known for providing high quality property maintenance and building services solutions.

“Tamashiro has earned her appointment to this key position within the company by the excellent work that she had done over the years,” said Karl Fujii, Executive Vice President of HBM. “She is best qualified to lead our Human Resources department as the company continues to provide superior customer service in all building service arenas.”

Tamashiro joined HBM as a Human Resources Clerk/Intern in 1999. She was later named Human Resources Assistant and then Human Resources Manager. As Human Resources Director, she is currently responsible for all aspects of employee relations and administration, benefits and policies for approximately 650 employees.

A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Tamashiro earned a bachelor of business administration (BBA) degree in Human Resources Management. She is a member of the National Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), as well as the Hawaii Chapter of SHRM.
