Kalākaua Avenue Closure for 33rd Annual Pan-Pacific Festival on June 8 and 10

Ho‘olaule‘a Block Party and Festival Parade May Cause Traffic Delays

Motorists should expect travel delays into Waikīkī due to the Pan-Pacific Festival’s Ho‘olaule‘a block party and parade. Both events will shutdown Kalākaua Avenue for two separate periods of time on Friday, June 8 and Sunday, June 10. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.

What: 2012 Pan-Pacific Festival Road Closures

When: Friday, June 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
(Pan-Pacific Festival’s Ho‘olaule‘a runs from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.)
Kalākaua Avenue from Lewers Street to Ka‘iulani Avenue will be closed.
Roads will reopen at the discretion of the Honolulu Police.

Sunday, June 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
(Pan-Pacific Parade runs from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
Kalākaua Avenue from Saratoga Road to Kapahulu Avenue will be closed.
Roads will reopen at the discretion of the Honolulu Police.

Alternate Routes:
On Sunday, Kalia Road will turn into a two-way road from Saratoga Avenue toward the Halekulani and Sheraton Waikīkī during the parade. Motorists can take Ala Moana Boulevard to Kalia Road, across Saratoga Road and up Lewers Street to access Halekūlani, Outrigger on the Beach, Sheraton Waikīkī and The Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
