Leadership Works Announces Maui Fall Workshops

Leadership Works President and Founder Glenn Furuya

Leadership Works, Hawaii’s leading business development and consulting company, is offering its signature Leadership Works Experience workshop on Maui this Fall, designed to train supervisors, managers, directors and executive personnel to become better leaders and learn how to grow their organizations. The Maui workshop is scheduled for September 8, 9, 22, 23 and October 6, 7, 20, 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Maui Westin Resort & Spa in Ka’anapali Beach. In addition, a free preview to the Fall workshops classes will be held on Friday, August 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Maui Thing in Wailuku.

During this eight-day journey, led by Leadership Works President and CEO Glenn Furuya, participants will uncover the personal patterns embodied by real leaders; identify their leadership purposes; define their core leadership principles; discover ways to establish high-performance processes and systems; and learn how to create an organization of empowered and committed people.

“The Leadership Works Experience was developed to provide an effective and proven program for organizations that want to generate greater commitment, enhanced teamwork, exceptional service and higher productivity from their team members—all at an affordable price,” said Furuya. “Our workshops provide a one-of-a-kind experience through dynamic teaching methods to help organizations retain their employees and members and motivate them to become better performers.”

Furuya is one of Hawaii’s most popular leadership experts and has provided his expertise to more than 100 businesses in Hawaii, the mainland and Pacific Islands, ranging from small to large organizations, for nearly 30 years. Known for his unique and energetic teaching style, Furuya is key in the success of many business leaders and organizations as a result of implementing skills and knowledge developed from participating in the Leadership Works Experience.

“Leadership Works is a wise investment in yourself and your employees,” said Ray Skelton, Maui Regional Manager at Goodfellow Bros., Inc. “It has not only given me valuable tools to use as a Regional Manager, but has empowered our team to become a high performing organization. The rewards and benefits are beyond measure.”

“We have been using Leadership Works for our leadership and staff training, management consulting and Board Planning sessions since 1994. It is one of the major reasons for our success,” said Norman Okimoto, President of Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union. “During this time, our assets have grown 262 percent and membership has grown 183 percent.”

In 1982, Furuya founded Leadership Works and has devoted his expertise and experience to growing people, teams and businesses. He holds bachelors and masters degrees in Education, is a certified Social Style and Hay Assessment trainer, and has studied with some of the top seminar and business leaders in the country including Dr. W. Edward Deming. To date, Furuya has worked with and trained more than 10,000 leaders in Hawaii, the mainland and the Pacific Islands.
