Funds Raised to Benefit Aloha for Japan, American Red Cross Hawaii State Chapter, Hawaiian Humane Society and March of Dimes Check Presentations to be made at the Saturday Event.

Central Pacific Bank (CPB) employees will continue to collect cash donations in support of four Hawaii charities through this Friday, May 20, 2011. Funds raised will be distributed to these employee-selected charities:  Aloha for Japan, American Red Cross Hawaii State Chapter, Hawaiian Humane Society and March of Dimes.

Donations collected this week will be added to those funds already raised by bank employees who have been fundraising since March. Checks will be presented to the designated non-profits at the Annual CPB Walks For You employee sponsored charity event this Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Kaka’ako Waterfront Park. The company walk marks the culmination of two months of fundraising efforts undertaken by CPB’s more than 900 employees. Fundraising efforts included bake sales, food competitions and other creative endeavors.

What: Cash donations are being accepted to benefit Aloha for Japan, American Red Cross Hawaii State Chapter, Hawaiian Humane Society and March of Dimes.

Who: Central Pacific Bank customers and members of the general public may make donations directly to bank employees.

When: Now through this Friday, May 20, 2011.

Where: Central Pacific Bank will present checks to designated non-profits this Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Kakaako Park.
