Oceanarium Restaurant Features “Turducken” for Father’s Day Sunday Night Buffet

The Pacific Beach Hotel’s Ilima award-winning Oceanarium Restaurant in Waikiki will offer unique menus for Father’s Day weekend, June 16 – 17, 2012. The menus will include a huge selection of delectable choices that will make Dad feel like a king.

If you’re looking to treat Dad to an unforgettable meal, then you’ll want to visit the restaurant on Sunday night. That evening, Dad can enjoy “Turducken.” The specialty dish, which was popularized by football commentator John Madden, features Turkey, Duck and Chicken with a southwest style Cornbread Stuffing and Chipotle Giblet Gravy. In addition to Turducken, the restaurant will also feature 57 buffet selections on Sunday night, including: Lobster and Longastino Bisque; Seafood, Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya; Island Herb Grilled Chicken Breast with Hamakua Mushroom Jus; and Double Stuffed Baked Potatoes with Parmesan Crust. The price for the Sunday night buffet is $46.95 for adults, $19.95 for children between the ages of 5 and 11 years old, and free for children ages four and under.

The restaurant is also featuring several other unique dishes at each of its buffets for the holiday weekend. A more detailed list of these food items can be found below, along with the buffet prices.

All brunch and dinner buffets will have classic favorites, such as Mussels on the Half Shell, Nairagi Sashimi, Poke, a Sushi Station, Steamed Snow Crab Legs and Roast Prime Rib with Creamy Horseradish Sauce. Breakfast lovers can look forward to Belgian Waffles and an Omelet Station, and the dinner buffets will have a Seafood Pasta Station and a Dim Sum Station. There will also be a wide selection of desserts, including Lilikoi Meringue Tart, Crème Brûlée, Mango-Pineapple Cobbler and much more!

-Kahuku Corn and Blue Crab Chowder;
-Seafood and Sausage Paella;
-Pan Seared Chicken Piccata with Mango;
-Kalbi Style Pork Chops with Kamameshi Kim Chee Fried Rice;
-Braised Oxtail with Kare Kare Style Peanut Sauce; and
-Cedar Planked Salmon with Mango Chutney Vinaigrette.
-Time: 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
-Price: $46.95 for adults, $19.95 for children ages 5 – 11 and free for children ages four and under.

Sunday, June 17 “Father’s Day Brunch Buffet” Menu, 57 items including:
-Steamed Snapper “Chinatown”;
-Hawaiian Cajun Spiced Seafood Risotto;
-Penne Pasta with Grilled Kiawe Smoked Salmon with Maui Onions and Capers and Roma Tomatoes; and
-Roast Kalbi Style Duck and fried rice.
-Time: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
-Price: $46.95 for adults, $19.95 for children ages 5 – 11 and free for children ages four and under.

Sunday, June 17 “Father’s Day Dinner Buffet” Menu, 57 items including:
